Paper Chalk Bird Craft Supplies:
- Free Chalk Art Baby Bird Printable {grab the file on box.com}
- White Cardstock Paper
- Color Printer
- Kid Friendly Paper Craft Scissors
- Orange Crayon
- Black Construction Paper
- Rainbow Colored Sidewalk Chalk
- Baby Wipes
- Glue Stick or Tape Runner Adhesive
Directions:
- First things first – grab the free baby bird printable, listed above in the supply list.
- go ahead and color in the various shapes on it, completely orange. The nose and feet will be orange, while the eyes will stay blank in color.
- When done coloring, trim out each paper piece and set them aside till later.
- Discard excess paper.
- Pull one set of “bird facial pieces” aside for your current craft, while saving the other pieces for the second round!
- Now grab a single sheet of black cardstock and your choice of color in chalk {I suggest 2-3 different colors to give your bird some dimension.}
- Go ahead and draw/color in the bird’s feathers in the center of the paper with the chalk {see our image for example – just make several lines going outward from the center.} Add as much chalk as you like. You want it to be nice and “fluffy” though.
- Use baby wipes to clean off excess chalk from fingers and hands.
- When done with the chalk, go ahead and grab your baby bird cutouts from earlier & your glue stick.
- Glue all the pieces in their designated spots, on chalk art design you just made. I suggest starting with the triangle nose in the center and working from there.
- Add any other embellishments you see fit.
- Then display your chalk bird paper piece proudly for all to see!
