BUILDING A BIRD NEST

The idea of an invitation to play or create is to set up the invitation and let the children play, explore and create. In this case, little ones might need a couple of pointers or a bit of help to create a bird nest. There are multiple ideas and craft supplies you can use to make a bird nest (like yarn and pipe cleaners, etc.). You could even use small sticks from the back yard.  It was a rainy day when we made ours, so I used tissue paper (I tore into strips) and colorful feathers. Next we took extra large pom poms and added wiggle eyes and beaks (made out of construction paper). I think they turned out adorable.
